You know, this country poverty is not poverty. But we’re talking about poverty as poverty is a lack of something that is essential. We\u2019ve been supporting people who don’t have Wi Fi this week with phones.
We’ve got somebody coming tomorrow, actually, to pick up a phone. You know? And and this is a family of 6. The last time he ever had a phone was about 7 years ago. That’s the last time he had a phone of his own. This person is just in his early forties. This kind of thing really breaks my heart because in this 21st century, where some even 9 year old has got a phone, and we’ve got somebody over 40 has not even got a phone. Basic phone. Any phone he said. He doesn’t want a smartphone. He just want a phone to dial a number so he can speak to his children. Then hopefully, by with what we’re doing, we can support and connect. I asked him, what is one of your dreams? And one of his dreams is to have an Internet at home.
People can get connected and and search for a jobs because one of the main things we see with a lack of broadband is an increase in isolation.
