Last week, the Opus Broadband team packed up our banners, balloons, and big smiles and headed to Hesketh House Community Centre for Bolton at Home\u2019s second summer event of the season. The sun was shining, the music was playing, and the atmosphere was buzzing \u2014 the perfect setting to chat with residents about something we\u2019re really passionate about: keeping communities connected. Thanks to our ongoing partnership with Bolton at Home, eligible tenants can get a completely free broadband connection to their property. That\u2019s right \u2014 no monthly bills, no complicated forms, just a fast and reliable connection to make everyday life that bit easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From the moment the gates opened, there was something for everyone. The kids had a blast with swing ball, hula hooping, and archery, while the craft tables were a hive of creativity with colouring, bracelet making, and other hands-on activities. And because all that fun works up an appetite, free packed lunches were handed out to keep energy levels high. We didn\u2019t just stand behind the stall \u2014 our team got stuck in too! Whether it was cheering on the archery attempts, trying our hand at hula hooping (with mixed success!), or joining the little ones at the colouring table, we loved being part of the community spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In between the games and giggles, we spoke to dozens of residents about the free broadband offer. Many had never realised they could get a connection without paying a penny, and we were thrilled to sign up even more households on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the highlights of the day was hearing from tenants who already have the free Opus Broadband connection. Their feedback made our day: \u201cIt\u2019s great \u2014 we\u2019ve had no problems with it and it was really easy to sign up.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s such a weight off my mind not having to budget for internet each month.\u201d Hearing how the service is making a real difference to people\u2019s lives is exactly why we do what we do. Whether it\u2019s helping children access online learning, keeping families connected with loved ones, or making sure no one feels left out of the digital world, we know a good internet connection can be life-changing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
